Oct 5th Fruit Orchards & Green Teams farm

Yes there are grape vines and fruit trees in the Ukraine. We visited a table grape & Stone fruit operation which was irrigated using subsurface drip irrigation. Their biggest problem is surviving the -27deg C frosts during winter. Last year was especially bad with many vines and fruit trees killed.

The Green Team vege farm was pretty interesting to. They crop 130ha of Red, White & Chinese cabbage 130 ha of Carrots, 60ha of early onions & 50 ha of late onions. They run up to 7 cabbage harvesters like this, when we were there they only had 5 going due to staff shortages.
